  • London Pinkney

    EDITOR-IN-CHIEF · (she/her)

    London Pinkney is a writer, editor, and soon-to-be librarian.

    Her work has been featured in numerous publications, including the award-winning anthology NonWhite and Woman (Woodhall Press). In 2023, she received a Show Us Your Spines Residency from RADAR Productions at the San Francisco Public Library.

    Pinkney received an MFA in Creative Writing from San Francisco State University and is enrolled in the Master’s in Library & Information Sciences program at San José State University.

    London Pinkney is currently working on her debut book, an experimental essay collection about Black Californians. She is originally from Los Angeles.

    Carlos Quinteros III is a poet, educator, and editor from Los Angeles, California, stuttering through readings and life.

    He has curated numerous readings and enjoys sharing the words and voices of others.

    Oli Villescas is a Trans Queer Latine multi media artist and editor. He believes art is a vital reminder everyday of our humanity and to expose the inhumane.

    He has been a featured artist at KodishousepartyXfriends and has been published in The Kingfisher Magazine. They are a proud father to their cat Binx

  • SANTOS ARTEAGA

    FICTION EDITOR & LEAD EDITOR OF OBSCURA · (he/him)

    Santos Arteaga is a writer. In 2020 he graduated from San Francisco State University with a BA in Creative Writing. He writes about and critiques the communities he’s a part of including the Latinx community and the LGBTQ+ community.

    His work has been published in Transfer, Ramblr, and Foglifter where he was nominated for a Pushcart Prize.

  • TREVAUGHN MALIK ROACH-CARTER

    TreVaughn Malik Roach-Carter is a Queer Black writer born in Modesto, California. He is the Digital Editorial Assistant and Publishers Weekly.

    He holds a MFA in creative writing from San Francisco State University. His work has been featured in Ramblr Magazine, Tayo Magazine’s special issue: SOFT, Transfer, BAD EGG Magazine, Borderless, The Ana, Stellium Magazine, and Querencia Press. He is a recipient of the Leo Litwalk Literature Award, a Browning Society Award, and a finalist for the Next Generation Indie Book Awards.

    He is the author of the Young Adult novel The Aziza Chronicles: Awakening, and the autofiction short story collection Her Daughters. His New Adult fantasy novel, Bryn’s Virtues: Courage, release September 12, 2025.

    Minhee Kim is an avid daydreamer and bumbling artist whose favorite activities include sleeping, whittling, and saying the worst/funniest things they can possibly think of.

    A graduate of SFSU, Minhee dedicates their time to gardening, "gardening", and having nightmares about student loans. To contact them, consider going out late at night, unhinging your jaw, and vocalizing wordlessly into the swirling twilight winds.
